Conference: 'Yoga and World Peace'

Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council announces that on March 7, 2018, a World Peace Council Conference will take place on the topic 'Yoga and World Peace'. The conference has been organized by Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council (SSMWPC), in cooperation with the International Day of Yoga Committee at the United Nations, and United Nations Staff Recreation Council (UNSRC) / Enlightenment Society (SEAT).

In accordance with Mahatma Gandhi’s admonition “Be the change that you wish to see in the world” and Sri Swami Madhavananda’s “One in All and All in One”, this conference shall raise awareness on the importance of inner peace in humans as a way to world peace. The peace endeavors can only be successful in correlation with inner transformation and yoga provides the requisite power of positive change. 

There will be 2 sessions, both streamed by live webcast on Facebook and www.swamiji.tv.

  • 1st Panel at UN Headquarters New York: March 7; 10.00am - 1.00pm (NY time).

  • 2nd Panel at Shiv Shakti Peeth Hindu Temple, NY: in the evening of March 7; 6.00pm - 8.30pm (NY time).
