The Sri Swami Madhavananda World Peace Council in collaboration with Yoga in Daily Life USA and the International Day of Yoga Committee at the United Nations is hosting an on-line summit as part of the UN Water Conference 2023 and in honor of the United Nations decade dedicated to water. All are welcome to join!
Peace Prayer - Umag, Croatia, 2010
After the peace dialogues at the "Day of Non-Violence for World Peace" conference held on October 2, 2010 in Umag (Croatia) and planting a peace tree in the center of Umag, at sunset time, hundreds and hundreds participants lighted candles and let them float into the sea with a peace prayer as symbols of peace that overcomes violence.
Interreligious World Peace Prayers, 2001
Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda - Swamiji, the founder of the system "Yoga in Daily Life", initiated worldwide International and Interreligious World Peace Prayers because he has recognised the urgent need to promote and develop awareness of world peace. The first prayer took place in the Croatian city of Umag in September 2001, and afterwards in numerous cities in Austria, Spain, Germany, Slovenia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and India.
